DCA Hydrastore

We started a working relationship with Hydrastore, and their parent company DCA, in 2013. The first part of our brief was to design and create a new corporate identity. DCA is made up of a complex set of companies and the design solution had to reflect that. Each subsidiary needed its own individual brand which also had to work as an umbrella brand.

Corporate Identity

The solution we devised centred on one large triangle made up of four separate triangles. DCA is the central triangle and each of the three subsidiary brands that form part of the group have their own individual triangle and colour scheme.

When all the triangles are put together they form the unified DCA umbrella logo.

Hydrastore have invested heavily in the marketing programme and the results we have achieved together are impressive.

Now averaging 1566 visitors per week. A 906% increase.

In 2017, weekly organic visitors averaged 121 per week.

Product Catalogue

330 Page Product Catalogue

In 2017 we delivered the first Hydrastore parts catalogue which started at 112 pages. It is now adapting and changing on a 6 monthly schedule and we are currently working on the 11th major update which is now over 330 pages.

In the 12 years since we started working for the DCA group we have delivered numerous successes. The key has been the continued development of all channels they use to reach their market. From online and digital to print and social media.

Hydrastore Website

The Hydrastore website is now on its 3rd major iteration.

Initially designed as a catalogue site, it now includes:  • Full eCommerce facilities (integrated via data fed from Microsoft Dynamics Enterprise Resource Planning software) • A payment system using the Stripe payment gateway that integrates with their complex back office • A bespoke delivery calculator that works out complex delivery charges depending on the size, weight and location of the final consignment • A comprehensive searchable schematics library for their clients and customers.

Strategic Planning.

The successes have come from a strong strategic plan that is continually monitored and adapted to market changes. Changes in competition, changes in customer behaviour, changes in demand. These are all part of the ongoing discussions we have to deliver the right solutions for a meaningful return on investment for the client.

Brochures

Since 2013 we have worked on many iterations of the brochures, for both individual brands and the collective company.

They all started as 12 page brochures and developed in scale over time. They have been extremely successful in communicating the many complex messages and offerings that DCA have wanted to repeat to their clients and customers.

As they have grown in importance they have also grown in size. The DCA brochure now numbers 40 pages and covers a huge variety of the sales information that the DCA team need.
